Trump National Doral is making its long-awaited return to the PGA Tour, with the iconic venue playing host to this week’s Cadillac Championship.
And it is the famed Blue Monster Course in Miami that is welcoming many of the game’s biggest stars, including world number one Scottie Scheffler.
Rory McIlroy has opted against competing, but his fellow top 10 players Cameron Young, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa are all involved.
And it may just be a wise move from The Masters champion given the brutal test that is very possibly on the cards at Trump National Doral, which has arrived at the perfect time for the PGA Tour.
The Cadillac Championship arrives immediately after the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, which was won by Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Fitzpatrick.
And while the unforgettable win for the brothers helped produce a memorable tournament for many, the Zurich Classic could be cut from the PGA Tour schedule.
The unique team format is not appreciated by everyone, while Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry and Brooks Koepka were really the only high-profile names to have committed to the event.
Moreover, the triumphant pairing finished with an extremely low score of 31-under, one shot ahead of two teams in a tie for second.
Fortunately for the PGA Tour, a repeat of such easy scoring now looks very unlikely at Trump National Doral, where anything under par could be enough to lift the trophy.
The appropriately named Blue Monster is renowned for its difficulty, with the abundance of water and bunkers helping produce such a test, along with its great length at 7,739 yards.
Further intrigue is added by the fact that many of the current field, including Scheffler, are playing at the course for the first time.
Trump National Doral's hosting of the Cadillac Championship marks its return to the PGA Tour, highlighting its importance in professional golf.
Top golfers competing include Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Collin Morikawa.
Rory McIlroy has opted out of competing in the Cadillac Championship, though specific reasons for his decision are not mentioned.
The Blue Monster Course at Trump National Doral is renowned for its challenging layout and has hosted many prestigious golf events.

The PGA Tour may even receive an added boost this week, with the Cadillac Championship arriving amid a major blow for LIV Golf.
LIV Golf could see a mass exodus in the very near future upon the pulling of funding from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) at the end of 2026.
Many golf fans will have already decided to tune in to the Cadillac Championship given the absence of a LIV Golf event this week, but more could follow if they understandably decide to completely give up on the breakaway tour.
And it certainly wouldn’t be a bad time to jump ship, with the Blue Monster Course certain to provide exciting viewing.
Back after a decade-long absence, the prestigious course should test even the most accomplished golfers this week.
Scheffler has confirmed Blue Monster’s difficulty already after his practice round, which isn’t exactly welcome news for the rest of the field, but it definitely is for golf fans.
