Why Eagles and Vikings pulled off blockbuster trade involving Jonathan Greenard
Philadelphia needed to add another pass rusher opposite Nolan Smith Jr., and Greenard fits that bill.
Though Greenard tallied just three sacks in 2025, he had two straight seasons with 12 sacks in 2023 and 2024.
If the veteran can regain that form, the Eagles will field one of the most potent defensive lines in football.
As for Minnesota, the team needed to clear some cap space, and moving on from Greenard will save them over $15 million in cap space.
