Bostonâs offense is the worst or near it in so many offensive categories. The Sox need to do something to switch things up ASAP. It doesnât even have to be an external move; they could make multiple internal moves to see what works.
They already started making moves by putting Trevor Story on the IL, and heâs been one of the worst hitters in baseball. DFAâing Isaiah Kiner-Falefa should be their next move, as well as sending Caleb Durbin to AAA to find his swing. Both are things fans are calling for as well.
The Sox are already calling up Nick Sogard to replace Story, who was a key bench bat for them last year. Getting Nate Eaton up as well should be a priority with how bad Jarren Duran is doing as well.

If they can find someone to take their expensive veterans and at least some of their contracts, the Sox need to do it. And, if they can get a star bat in return, all the better.
