However, there is reason for Tigers fans to have optimism. As Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report notes, the future of the organization is very bright thanks to four key players.

That club of young players who will be the future of the franchise includes Riley Greene, who is performing like an All-Star once again, and Kevin McGonigle, who looks like a superstar already in his rookie season.
Colt Keith has been great and is a promising player long-term for this team. Add in Keider Montero, who's looked good this season, and Hao Yu Lee, the Tigers have a few good young players on their roster.
Miller ranked the Tigers' young core as the second-best in MLB right now, behind only the Cincinnati Reds. With McGonigle, Greene, and Keith leading the charge, there's a lot to like about this young core.
With how the team has lost four straight games, including a sweep at the hands of the Boston Red Sox, and the injuries to Skubal, Mize, Torres, and others, there is ample reason to be concerned about this team in 2026.
However, looking into the future beyond just 2026, there's a lot to like about the Tigers, especially if Scott Harris can add to this elite young core in the future.
