Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz answered the question many fans are wondering: Will the team add to the offensive line in the 2026 NFL draft?
"We're not done adding on the offensive line. I can promise that," Hortiz said.
Now, what's unclear is how high on the priority list is bolstering the offensive line.
The team entered the free agency window with over $90 million in cap space. Their biggest deal was adding center Tyler Biadasz on a three-year, $30 million contract.
The signing was stellar as the Chargers needed a replacement for recently retired Bradley Bozeman. However, there are still needs to be addressed on an offensive line that struggled to protect quarterback Justin Herbert in 2025.
While the Bolts added offensive guard Cole Strange on a two-year, $13 million deal and made some depth acquisitions, namely the re-signing of Trevor Penning and the signing of Kayode Awosike, the team should draft a high-end guard to compete for one of the starting spots.
Los Angeles has the No. 22 overall pick. If the top guard, Penn State's Vega Ioane, is off the board, they could take Texas A&M's Chase Bisontis, who has been receiving first-round buzz as of late. If they go a different direction, like addressing edge rusher, Day 2 will offer high-end guards.
No matter what, expect the Chargers to address the unit this next week.
