MIAMI GARDENS — Will Kacmarek is more than happy to pick up from right where Kadyn Proctor left off with his bold prediction for the Miami Dolphins’ offense.
Moments after the Dolphins drafted Proctor in the first round, he predicted the team would run the (bleep) out of the ball in 2026. When this was mentioned to Kacmarek, a blocking tight end taken in the third round, he quickly embraced it.
“Mentality and aggression is 90 percent of the game,” Kacmarek said. “I think you need to have that to impose your will on players and wear them down throughout the game. This is something I’ve had my entire life, that mentality.”

Kacmarek was drafted 87th overall with the pick the Dolphins received from Philadelphia in the Jaelan Phillips trade.
Although blocking is Kacmarek’s ticket to the NFL, he took the time to defend his ability as a receiver as well, even though the Dolphins’ receiving tight end in 2026 will be Greg Dulcich. Kacmarek caught 15 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games for the Buckeyes last season.
“The opportunities were limited, but I had sure hands,” he said. “I caught it and I made the most of it.”
