The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated veterans Will Smith and Max Muncy ahead of the first game of a three-game set against the Miami Marlins.
Smith missed the last two games of the Dodgers’ series against the Cubs with a minor back issue, and Muncy exited the second game of the series with illness—also missing the final game of the set. The Dodgers won both of the final two games regardless, bouncing back from an opening game loss.
The Dodgers will celebrate Japanese Heritage Night in Monday’s game, which kicks off at 7:10 p.m. PT.

Right-handed starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto will make his sixth start of the season Monday, and will look to maintain his stellar record on the season. Despite being credited with two losses, Yamamoto has been fantastic for the Dodgers on the mound.
He has a 2.48 ERA through 32.2 innings pitched, and has struck out 28 batters in that time.
Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani had a great game Sunday after a rough stretch since snapping his record-breaking on-base streak, and will bat first for the Dodgers tonight. First baseman Freddie Freeman will keep his No. 2 spot in the lineup, and Smith will bat third as the catcher.
Right fielder Kyle Tucker moves back up a spot in the lineup after dropping to fifth in Sunday’s game, and Muncy will play third base while batting sixth. Center fielder Andy Pages will bat seventh, and middle infielders Hyeseong Kim and Alex Freeland round out the lineup.
The Marlins will have Chris Paddack on the bump for the game, and will hope he can snap out of the awful run he has had to start the season. He’s yet to earn a win on the season, and has a 6.38 ERA through 24 innings pitched so far.
He has been significantly better on the road compared to at home, though, and has also found more success against left-handers—of which the Dodgers have many.
LA will have to keep the bats hot to pull out a win against Paddack and a surprisingly successful Marlins team.
