Plymouth Argyle's central midfield has been boosted by news that both Brendan Wiredu and Bradley Ibrahim are fit to play against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.
Argyle had been forced to recall youngster Caleb Roberts from his loan at Truro City earlier this month with Jamie Paterson moving inside to partner ever-present Malachi Boateng.
The crisis was compounded earlier this month by news that Herbie Kane would not play again this season.
But Ibrahim, 21, who has been out since February with an ankle injury, and 26-year-old Wiredu are both set to return on Saturday.
Wiredu has been out for a month after undergoing abdominal surgery.
"We've got a much stronger pool of players to pick from this week than we did have last," head coach Tom Cleverley told BBC Radio Devon.
"We'll certainly be sleeping a little bit easier knowing we've got more cover for that central midfield position, that's for sure.
Their return is expected to significantly enhance the team's midfield options and stability for the upcoming match.
Caleb Roberts was recalled from his loan at Truro City due to a midfield crisis caused by injuries to other players.
Herbie Kane will not play again this season due to an injury that has sidelined him.
