Wisconsin guard Jack Janicki will return to the Badgers in 2026-27, 247Sports' Nick Osen confirmed on Tuesday.
Tuesday afternoon saw a flurry of Wisconsin basketball-related activity, with the portal closing to new entrants. John Blackwell committed to Duke, while Janicki and Nolan Winter each announced their returns.
Those moves crystalize Wisconsin's roster and rotation entering 2026-27. Winter is in position to start, alongside transfers Trey Autry and Eian Elmer, incoming freshman Owen Foxwell and rising junior Austin Rapp. Janicki and transfer forward Victory Onuetu, then, figure to play significant minutes off the bench.
Janicki started one of 26 appearances in 2025-26. He averaged 16.5 minutes, 2.2 points, two rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.7 steals per game, while shooting 32% from the field and 28% from 3. After Wisconsin saw significant turnover in its backcourt this offseason, Janicki will be tasked with improving those numbers in elevated playing time.
