Wisconsin football makes final six list for four-star linebacker

The Wisconsin Badgers are among the final six teams competing for four-star linebacker Tate Wallace.

Wallace, who plays for Regina High School in Iowa City, IA, revealed on Thursday, April 30, that Wisconsin is in the mix alongside Minnesota, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Arizona State, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

Interestingly, Wallace doesn't have Iowa, or even Iowa State, in his top six. The Hawkeyes not being included certainly favors the Badgers, but they still face stiff competition for the 6-foot-2, 226-pound LB.

According to 247Sports, Wallace is the No. 2 player in Iowa. He's the No. 29 linebacker in the class of 2027 and is a top 400 recruit in the nation.

Wisconsin just missed out on three-star defensive lineman Anitoni Tahi, which makes this battle much more important. Luke Fickell already has 10 commitments, but seven of those 10 are on offense. That's not to say they have a weak defensive class, but currently it only includes a pair of safeties and an EDGE rusher.
