Wisconsin volleyball will face defending national champion Texas A&M on September 11, 2026, in College Station, Texas. This match adds to their high-profile nonconference schedule, which also includes a game against Texas on September 13.
Wisconsin volleyball scheduled another high-profile nonconference road match to its 2026 slate on Monday.
Kelly Sheffield's group, fresh off a 3-0 mark against Marquette, Green Bay, and Northern Illinois during the spring window, will add Texas A&M to its list of fall nonconference opponents. The match will take place on Sept. 11 in College Station, Texas.
The news arrives exactly one week after the Badgers announced a Sept. 13 contest against premier program Texas in Austin. The rematch of the national semifinal will be staged at the Moody Center, which holds over 15,000 seats compared to the typical 4,000-seat atmosphere at Gregory Gymnasium.
Texas A&M, meanwhile, won the national title back in December after winning all three sets against Kentucky. The Aggies finished the 2025 campaign with a 29-4 mark for the program's first NCAA title ever.
Wisconsin owns a 5-0 record against Texas A&M dating back to 2016, all of which have been three-set sweeps. The two last faced off on Dec. 13, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, where Sarah Franklin led the way with a team-best 21 kills in the 3-0 effort.
UW opened its 2025 season with tests against top-15 Kansas and Texas before transitioning to the September window. This fall, the bouts against Texas and Texas A&M should serve a similar purpose in challenging the group ahead of Big Ten action throughout October and November.
The match is scheduled for September 11, 2026.
Texas A&M won the national title in December 2025, finishing the season with a 29-4 record.
Wisconsin volleyball will also play against Texas on September 13, 2026.
