Megan Mossey, a two-way defender previously committed to Minnesota, has flipped her commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey team. Coach Mark Johnson continues to excel in recruiting top talent.
Time and time again, longtime Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey coach Mark Johnson continues to outdo himself.
The back-to-back National Championships are one thing, but recruiting-wise, Johnson is next level.
News broke on Friday, May 8, that Minnesota commit Megan Mossey would be flipping her commitment to the Badgers.
"On, Wisconsin!" she wrote. "Honoured and excited to be a Badger!"
According to Kendrick Stumbris, she's projected to join Wisconsin in 2027-28.
This isn't a move that's going to change the team overnight, but it's one that continues to prove that Johnson is one of, if not the best coach in the nation.
Mossey is a two-way defender who most recently tallied 11 points in six games at the 2026 U18 Worlds. Of those 11 points, nine of which were assists, and she scored a pair of goals with a 14+/-.
During her 2025-26 season with the Etobicoke Dolphins, Mossey set career highs in games played (46) and total points (69). To no surprise, her 33 assists and 36 goals were both career highs, shattering any totals she set in years prior.
