Jason Jackson had to wait a few days, but now he knows he'll still be on what could be the most-viewed event of his career.
Jackson (19-6) was set to fight Lorenz Larkin (27-8) next month on the Most Valuable Promotions MMA event on Netflix. This past week, Larkin pulled out with an injury. But Monday, the promotion announced Jeff Creighton (12-2-1) has stepped in, keeping Jackson on the show.
MVP's first MMA show takes place May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., and is headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano.
Creighton most recently fought this past November for LFA and picked up a decision win over Diego Bianchini. It was his sixth straight win by decision dating back to early 2023 in his lone Bellator fight, a split decision win over then-unbeaten Joey Davis – a massive betting upset.
In 2025, Creighton, a 30-year-old Californian, was on Season 33 of "The Ultimate Fighter" with a chance to get into the UFC, but he went 1-1 on the show in his two exhibition fights. Now he'll get a shot against his most tested opponent yet.
Former Bellator welterweight champion Jackson, who upset Yaroslav Amosov to win the title in the promotion's final headliner before the PFL takeover, is coming off a split decision loss to Thad Jean in the 2025 PFL tournament.
With the change, the current MVP MMA 1 lineup includes:
