An annual mass ride-out around the Isle of Man TT course as part of the world-famous biking festival will form part of a relay connecting women bikers across the world.
The annual TT Legacy Lap will include motorcyclists representing the Women Riders World Relay, who will lead the cavalcade away from the grandstand on 31 May.
The first relay in 2019 saw the virtual baton passed between about 20,000 riders from more than 100 countries in a bid to change perceptions about women riders.
The 2026 Isle of Man TT Races are scheduled from Monday, 25 May 25 to Saturday, 6 June. The annual TT Legacy Lap sees hundreds of bike fans take to the famous 37.73-mile (61km) TT course in convoy on public roads.
Isle of Man ambassador for the relay, Lisa Brain, said the movement was "incredibly proud" to be leading the lap away from the "iconic event".
"The TT has always been about passion, community and respect for the Mountain course, and this year's Legacy Lap is a chance to celebrate all of those things together," she said.
Seeing women at the front of the convoy would send "a powerful message that motorcycling is for everyone", she said, which reflected the "mission to connect women riders around the world, inspire them to be the best they can be, and challenge perceptions of what women riders can achieve".
Those taking part in the event must assemble in the pit lane at the TT grandstand, on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas, at 08:30 BST.
Following a one-minute "sound of thunder" – where participants can rev their engines in a shared tribute – the convoy will set off at 09:30.
