Yes, the NFL draft is a day away and the Las Vegas Raiders are fully expected to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall draft pick.
It would be stunning if the Raiders trade the pick, but, anything is possible and let’s some some fun. Using the Pro Football Network draft simulator, let’s review some potential trade offers for the pick:
New York Jets offer first round picks (No. 2 and 16), second round (No. 33 and 44).
Arizona Cardinals offer No. 3, 34), 65, 2027 first-round pick, 2027 second round pick.
Cleveland Browns offer No. 6, 24, 39, 70, 2027 firs-round pick.
Pittsburgh Steelers offer No. 21, 53, 76, 2027 first-round pick, 2027 second-round pick.
Thoughts:
Who knows if any of these teams (or others) would make these type of offers, but let’s face it; some of these deals are intriguing. There is some draft firepower involved here. The Raiders are starting a big rebuild and they need more than just a quarterback. If they were to take a deal with a 2027 first-round pick (where the quarterback class is expected to be much better), it could be worthwhile. But, then there’s there argument that Mendoza is there and he can solve the quarterback question. That, of course, is the very likely direction the Raiders are headed, but if a massive late offer like some of these deals were to develop, it might be worth considering.
Would any of these hypothetical offers make you want to deal the first pick.

The New York Jets are offering their first-round picks (No. 2 and 16) along with second-round picks (No. 33 and 44), while the Arizona Cardinals propose their picks (No. 3, 34, 65) and future first and second-round picks in 2027.
The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza as the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft.
It would be surprising if the Raiders trade the No. 1 pick, but the possibility remains open as the draft approaches.
