WSL final day: Champions City enjoy win as Arsenal finish second

Women's Super League champions Manchester City enjoyed a 4-1 win away to West Ham United as the 2025/26 wrapped up.

There wasn't much left to play for in the top flight with the top three and the team who would be in the relegation/promotion play-off already decided.

However, it was still a day packed with emotion with some playing their final games for their clubs and others of their careers.

One of those players is Laura Coombs who is calling time on her career but she bagged the fourth goal for Manchester City after Jade Rose had opened the scoring. Bunny Shaw also said to be leaving the club, inevitably added another two to her tally while Seraina Piubel pulled one back for the Hammers.

Shaw is said to be heading to Chelsea this summer – a club where another prolific striker is leaving the club. Sam Kerr has often tormented Manchester United and she scored once again in a 1-0 win for the Blues with rumours of the Australian set to leave the WSL for the NWSL.
