May 12 (UPI) -- An irate Jacob Fatu assaulted his cousins Roman Reigns and the Usos due to what happened at Backlash on WWE Raw.
Reigns was able to successfully defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Fatu on Saturday after the Tribal Chief utilized an exposed turnbuckle. Fatu, who was dominating the match, became angry and attacked Reigns after the bout along with Raw general manager Adam Pearce.
Pearce, on Raw Monday, told Reigns he was going to fire Fatu for his actions but Reigns wouldn't allow it. Instead the champ set up an acknowledgement ceremony for Fatu to formerly acknowledge Reigns as the champion and as the Tribal Chief of their storied Samoan wrestling family.
Fatu arrived to the arena and was immediately greeted by Jey Uso who pleaded with the Samoan Werewolf to see reason. Fatu nailed Jey Uso with a number of headbutts before he walked out to the ring.
"You're going to have to beat the acknowledgement out of me!" Fatu said.
Jimmy Uso then met Fatu on the entrance ramp before he was quickly taken out. Fatu and Reigns started to trade punches before Fatu sent he champ out of the ring.
Reigns was able to recover with a Superman Punch before he grabbed a steel chair. Reigns whacked Fatu with a chair multiple times before the violent brawl spilled over to the outside ring area.
Fatu then once again unleashed the powerful Tongan Death Grip and slammed Reigns through the announcer's table. Fatu would continue to choke Roman afterwards despite Pearce and WWE security trying their best to break things up.
Fatu, as he started to exit, then suddenly stopped on the entrance ramp and ran back towards Reigns where he was being helped up by the Usos. Fatu then threw his body at the trio, sending all three men through the ringside barricade as Raw went off the air.
