At 50 pitches through three innings, Rodon went back out for the fourth inning which took him just nine pitches to complete, ending the frame with a strikeout of Colin Houck. After getting the first out of the fifth, Rodon walked the next batter, on a few questionable calls, and was pulled. He left with a 4-0 lead.
Rory Fox entered in relief and struck out two, stranding Rodon's runner at first base.
