There are certain guys in Major League Baseball who everybody knows are stars, though it doesn't feel like they get as much attention as they should.

To me, the one player who really sticks out is Yordan Alvarez. Everybody knows that Alvarez is one of the best players in the world and one of the best hitters the game has ever seen, but he doesn't get as much attention as he probably should.

Interestingly enough, that's probably due to playing with a Houston Astros team that just hasn't been playing as well as it typically does.

It sounds like that could be changing, though, as it was recently reported that he could be a potential trade candidate, and the New York Yankees need to be all over that.

“If that happens, the buzzards will be circling, with teams asking what it will take to pry away first baseman Christian Walker, all-world closer Josh Hader, All-Star shortstop , third baseman and yes, even DH Yordan Alvarez,” Bob Nightengale of USA Today .
