Puig is 35 years old now, and he's also facing a court hearing on May 26 for obstruction of justice and making false statements to federal agents in regards to an illegal sports gambling organization.
The CBL season starts May 10, so it's not totally clear whether Puig will be able to play, but he's been signed.
The former Los Angeles Dodgers star spent the last few seasons playing in Mexico and in Korea.
His last MLB action was in 2019 for Cincinnati and Cleveland.
