āI watched the game yesterday and itās tough for them right now, theyāre not in a good run of games,ā Bompastor said. āTheir dynamic in terms of results is not great. Yesterday, they lost the game and they now know that they will play the play-off game, so in terms of confidence, itās probably not the best.
āDespite all of that, we have to focus on ourselves. We want to win every game until the end of the season and this one is no different to the others. Itās important for us to win, thatās part of our mentality and our DNA and we will focus on ourselves.Ā
āIn football, you never have an easy game. Youāve got to go into it with the right mentality to make sure you put up a good performance to give you a good game. Every team in this league is difficult to play against and I am not expecting anything different on Sunday.ā
Chelsea have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games and Bompastor gave her assessment of her sideās recent defensive record.
She said āIf you look at most of the goals that we have conceded this season, most of them have come from transition. We are a team that want to have the ball, we want to be dominant. When we have the ball, we are really open and sometimes, teams hurt us in transition.
āIf you analyse the goal that we conceded last weekend, it was a great goal and sometimes, you need to give credit to the opponent. When we watched the goal back, I said to the team that we reacted in exactly the right way, we just need to give credit to the opposition.ā
Sonia Bompastor stated that she expects a tough game against Leicester City, despite their current struggles.
Leicester City is struggling and is certain to finish bottom of the table after suffering a heavy 7-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Chelsea potentially have four games remaining this season and Bompastor is hoping for her side to rebuild the consistency which previously made them the dominant force in English football.
She said āIf you compare my first year at Chelsea and this season, the difference is the inconsistency this season; us being not consistent enough in terms of results. Of course, everyone expects Chelsea to win every game but this league is competitive. If you want to be champions, you have to win as many games as possible and be able to beat the best teams.
āItās something that we are aware of. We will try to improve that next season but also, hopefully, in the remaining four games of this season.ā
