Cameron Williams and Deron Rippey discussed their decision to join Duke's basketball team during an interview at the Nike Hoop Summit. They highlighted the influence of coach Jon Scheyer and the concept of the Brotherhood in their choice.
This is pretty cool: Krysten Peek got a chance to sit down with future Blue Devils Cameron Williams and Deron Rippey at the Nike Hoop Summit to talk about their decision to play for Duke.
Both of them talk positively about playing for Jon Scheyer and his talents on both ends of the court, and both also talk about the Brotherhood, and how that affected their decision.
They also talk briefly about each other and building chemistry.
Theyâre right about Scheyer, and especially on defense. He said Duke would be defense-first while he was coach, and he was telling the truth. Both of these guys, along with Bryson Howard and Maxime Meyer, are going to be fun to watch defensively.
You never know how players will work out, but all of them have the potential to be really outstanding, and we canât wait to see what they do.
