NFL activity is somewhat limited in May, so it's the perfect time to reflect on the transactions that just occurred in April. Heisman Trophy runner-up Diego Pavia went undrafted, so the Baltimore Ravens extended him a rookie mini-camp invitation. That arrangement soon turned into a free agent deal, and now Pavia is in the mix to potentially land the Ravens' third-string quarterback job.
Obviously, Lamar Jackson is the starter and Tyler "Snoop" Huntley is the backup. Pavia is competing with Skylar Thompson and Joe Fagano for the third quarterback slot. It's a crowded QB room, no doubt, as five players are now in the mix for only three slots.
When it comes to the wide receiver position, Zay Flowers is the Ravens' undisputed No. 1, and this spring saw the club pick up the fifth-year option on him for $27.2 million. Flowers attended the Kentucky Derby this past weekend, where he was asked by Sports Illustrated about his team signing the polarizing quarterback from Vanderbilt.

"Congrats. It's a dream come true," Flowers said in regards to Pavia. "Anybody that chases their dreams and makes it happen, I think, always congrats, because it's a long road to get there."
Pavia's chances of having any role on the team above the practice squad are very long. Flowers was asked if he had any advice for him in his quest to make the final cut for the 53-man roster.
"Be himself. That's all," Flowers responded.
