Young is a well-built pass rusher with a beefed-up prototypical build that’s filled out and ready to roll for the next level. He is a menace at the line of scrimmage when setting the edge, exhibiting an excellent fundamental understanding of how best to halt blockers and use them as the wall to obstruct the runner’s path. As a pass rusher, Young wins purely with power and does not offer much in the way of finesse. He lacks a go-to pass rush move, which will put a ceiling on his early impact as he continues to hone his craft beyond a one-note approach. Still, Young is an immediate three-down player who should only get better with the right coaching staff who can unlock the other half of his pass rush potential.
