
Bayern Munich secured a dominant 5-0 win against St. Pauli, extending their lead in the Bundesliga to 12 points. With five games remaining, they can clinch the title next week if they win and Borussia Dortmund loses or draws.

Bayern Munich was totally convincing in its 5-0 victory over St. Pauli in the Bundesliga.
The victory by the Bavarians, couple with Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen leaves Bayern Munich up 12 points with five games to play. A win next week, coupled with a loss or draw by BVB would clinch the title for the Bavarians:
As important as Bayern Munich’s victory was over St. Pauli, Bayer Leverkusen provided some help. The game-winning goal from Robert Andrich was pretty spectacular — and available to anyone not geo-blocked by ESPN FC:
There is still work to be done, as Bayern Munich still has league games against VfB Stuttgart, Mainz 05, Heidenheim, VfL Wolfsburg, and FC Köln. In between those, the Bavarians will square off for leg two of their Champions League tie vs. Real Madrid on Wednesday and face Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal semifinals on Wednesday April 22nd.
Clearly, this season is nearing its end, but is still far from over when it comes to trophies.
