The Miami Dolphins have been conducting a major roster overhaul this offseason, with Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, and even Jaylen Waddle all now gone.
Next in line for the Dolphins in this fire sale could be running back De'Von Achane. He's in the final year of his rookie deal, and needs an extension. But, he could also be traded for a huge return.
However, according to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan seemingly made his decision on Achane known by firmly stating that Achane is not for trade.
"GM Sullivan just now: Achane is 'not for trade,' ... On a contract extension: 'We've had positive conversations, trending in the right direction' over the past couple of days."
Achane would surely draw significant interest from teams around the NFL if the Dolphins were to try trading him.
With a weak running back class, some contender would surely be willing to part with decent value to land the speedster.
But the Dolphins don't look likely to make a trade involving their superstar running back this offseason, with this commentary from Sullivan.

The 24-year-old running back put up 1,350 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 238 attempts last season to go along with 67 receptions for 488 yards and four touchdowns in the receiving game.
He's one of the best dual-threat running backs in the NFL and is far and away the Dolphins' best remaining offensive weapon.
While they'd surely land a lot in return for trading Achane, Sullivan made it known a week ahead of the draft that the Dolphins do not have Achane up for trade, and that extension talks are going well.

Achane's trade status is significant because he is in the final year of his rookie deal, and his performance could impact the team's future roster decisions and salary cap management.
The Miami Dolphins have traded notable players including Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, and Jaylen Waddle during their roster overhaul this offseason.
The statement from the Dolphins GM indicates that the team values Achane's contributions and plans to keep him, potentially signaling a focus on building around him rather than trading him for assets.
