Makai Lemon recorded 137 receptions for 2,008 yards and 14 touchdowns over 33 games during his college career.
The Dolphins traded away key wide receivers Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, creating a need for reinforcements in their receiving corps.
Makai Lemon earned All-Big Ten honors twice, was named an All-American once, and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award in 2025.
The Miami Dolphins are hosting top wide receiver prospect Makai Lemon for a top-30 visit on Monday as they seek to strengthen their receiving corps following recent trades. Lemon, a former five-star recruit from USC, has impressive college stats with 137 catches for 2,008 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The Miami Dolphins traded out Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell and Terrace Marshall Jr. at wide receiver since the end of their 2025 campaign.
It doesn't take a genius to see that the Dolphins still need some help at the position if they want to get the most out of new quarterback Malik Willis, who the team signed to a three-year deal this offseason.
On Monday, Miami's hosting one of the top options to help out their wide receiver room, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Makai Lemon is taking his top-30 visit.
Lemon, 21, was a five-star recruit out of Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos, California, before committing to USC. In 33 games over the last three years, he caught 137 passes for 2,008 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also earned All-Big Ten honors twice and All-American honors once and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award for his efforts in 2025.
At 5-foot-11 and 192 pounds, Lemon has drawn comparisons to Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who has dominated the NFL in his five seasons in the league. That's exactly the type of player the Dolphins could use as a foundational piece going forward under their new regime.
