Duke fell short of winning the national title this season, losing in the Elite Eight to eventual runner-up UConn in heartbreaking fashion.
While national player of the year Cameron Boozer will move on to the NBA after just one season playing for the Blue Devils, the talent will still be there for Jon Scheyer to build another title contender for the 2026-27 season.
The Blue Devils have opened as the favorites to win the national title next season, coming in at +800, while Michigan, which won its second national title on Monday night against the Huskies, comes in second at 12-1. Florida follows at 14-1, while Arizona starts at 15-1. Noticeably, all four of those teams were No. 1 seeds in this yearâs NCAA Tournament.
Scheyer has the No. 1 recruiting class coming in for next season, including 5-stars Cam Williams, Deron Rippey Jr., Bryson Howard and 4-star center Maxime Meyer.
