For Real? UFC Legend Jon Jones Claims He’s Officially Done Fighting (Again)

Jon Jones appears to be officially done with professional fighting.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend has been rumored for an Octagon return since his last outing at UFC 309 back in November 2024, but the train has derailed every single time it has left the station. Jones has had plenty of contract negotiations along the way, but the right money has been hard to come by and it has left “Bones” in a game of he said, she said with UFC matchmakers.

Anyway you split it, Jones has been a long shot to return to UFC action. Many thought the former light heavyweight and heavyweight champion would come to terms with the promotion for one final fight at UFC’s upcoming White House card, but even that became an unavoidable train wreck. It would have been the perfect way to end his MMA career, but instead Jones has been busy coaching a Russian reality show alongside his biggest rival ever and chasing down trash talkers on the highway.

On Friday, footage from Jones’ recent trip to Russia with fellow UFC veteran Yoel Romero surfaced and it showed “Bones” claiming he’s officially hanging up his gloves. Fans have heard this before so it’s hard to believe everything Jones says, but he appeared genuine when discussing his fighting future.
