Remember the Alamo? Iāve never been, but the Huskies have! Twice as a matter of fact, losing their first Alamo Bowl (in one of the craziest football games I can remember) to Baylor 67-56. But weāre not talking about that one today. Instead, weāre talking about 2022. This was the first of the Huskiesā 2 showdowns with the Longhorns, and I can remember a particular frustration with the ESPN crew being their effusive, fawning praise of Texas QB Quinn Ewers. Still, Michael Penix took what the defense gave him, leading the Huskies to a 27-20 victory with a 287 yard, 2 touchdown performance. Other highlights include Wayne Taulapapa breaking off a 42 yard touchdown run, the āFrankensteinā flea flicker, and Jalen McMillan leading the team with 5 catches for only 58 yards and a touchdown.
Thatās all for today, so thank you all for making Dots a part of your morning and as always, Go Dawgs!
