Regis Prograis appeared for a Netflix press event to promote this weekendās fight against Conor Benn and explains why heās feeling confident heading into this matchup, saying his experience against better opposition than Benn is at the heart of it.
āIt might. I think that it should. The weight does play a big difference on people so, yeah. Iām not really worried about his weight and stuff but I didnāt know he didnāt make [this weight] since 2022. That might play a big difference.ā
āFor sure. People doubted me my whole career. Iām not even supposed to be here at all. So for me this is just another thing for me to prove people wrong again. Iām not worried about none of that stuff, just prove people wrong again. Thatās all.
āBut you got to realize, bro, I feel like Iāve fought way better fighters before. Like, in my career Iāve fought way better people before already. So, Conor, heās a threat but heās not a threat like people Iāve fought. So facts is I do feel I have a better resume.ā
āI think Eddie Hearn just might be salty. Weāre in camp, weāre boxers, right? Like, things are going to happen in camp but how you going to say Iām badly injured? Thatās insane. Iām not badly injured or nothing like that. But I feel like Eddie might be salty because he did promote me, he did promote him, and now heās not getting any part in this.ā
