Leonidas awards for two youngsters
At the Leonidas Sports Awards presented by the Salzburger Nachrichten, two trophies were awarded to our club, specifically to two of our young players!
Christian Zawieschitzky secured an honour in the fan vote, winning the 'Fan Favourite' category. The 18-year-old goalkeeper shone last summer as a replacement for Alex Schlager at the FIFA Club World Cup, where his saves left Vinicius Jr. and his teammates in despair. The Austrian U21 international has also already made his debut in the UEFA Europa League this season, keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win against Go Ahead Eagles.
Our second award of the evening went to another rising star from the Red Bull Academy. Johannes Moser was named Rookie of the Year by the jury â a more than deserved honour for the top scorer and finalist at the U17 World Cup!
