Michigan State basketball is set to host highly-coveted transfer center Anton Bonke this Friday. Bonke, a 7-foot-2 player from Charlotte, is also considering visits to several other schools including Kansas and Cincinnati.
Michigan State basketball will reportedly host one of the most highly-coveted centers in the transfer portal later this week.
According to insider Jeff Borzello of ESPN, Michigan State will host Charlotte transfer center Anton Bonke on Friday. He is currently visiting Kansas and also is expected to visit Cincinnati, NC State, South Carolina and Clemson, with Arkansas, TCU, USC and Gonzaga also reportedly in the mix.
Bonke is considered one of the top centers on the portal market, listed at 7-foot-2 and with potential to play at the next level. He averaged 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game this past season with Charlotte.
Michigan State has been linked to a number of center and power forward prospects in the transfer portal over the last week. However, the Spartans have not yet landed any commitments and appear now focused on Bonke as their next top target.
