Ravens' strength coach Scott Elliott discussed his collaboration with new head coach Jesse Minter, emphasizing a focus on individualized player development for the upcoming 2026 season. The duo aims to ensure that training in the weight room effectively translates to on-field performance.
Ravens Director of Strength & Conditioning Scott Elliott spoke this week about his working relationship with new head coach Jesse Minter and the shared focus on individualized player development heading into the 2026 season.
Elliott and Minter previously worked together in 2019 and 2020, and Elliott said the two have stayed in contact about how the strength program can best support players on the field.
âGetting to work with [head] Coach [Jesse] Minter is an incredible opportunity, just being that we were able to work together back in 2019 and 2020. And a big point of emphasis that he and I talked about initially and continue to have dialogue about, is how do we continue to progress the detailed approach with each guy? Because the whole notion â the whole communication â we have with the guys is that whatever we're doing in the weight room or on the field, especially in this phase and as we continue on, is to help them be the best version of themself on the field. He's been very encouraging [and supportive] on that front [about] finding ways that what we do in here, when I say in here, [I mean] in the weight room and in the indoor [field], will then translate to their skillset out on the field.â
Elliott said the goal of every part of the program is simple â making sure what players do in the building carries over to Sundays.
