UConn guards Uroš Paunovic and Jacob Furphy have entered the transfer portal, according to Sam
Kayser and On3.
Paunovic appeared in 15 games this season and scored his first points as a Husky on New Year’s Eve
against Xavier. Before coming to Storrs, the junior played in Serbia’s top division, KLS, averaging 8.8
points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists for KK Zlatibor. Paunovic still has two more years of eligibility.
Furphy appeared in 14 games in his Freshman season, logging 2 points in the wins against Bryant and
Marquette. Before arriving in the States, he established himself as a key piece of the Australian national
program. Helping the Australia U18 squad secure a gold medal at the FIBA U18 Asia Cup, where he shot
46.4% from three-point range. He made his senior team debut for Australia during the 2025 Asia Cup
qualifiers. He led the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup in minutes played, averaging 16.7 points per game.
Paunovic and Furphy are the third and fourth players to enter the portal for UConn and will be appealing
to other programs. With the news of guard Silas Demary returning for his senior season, it is unlikely
Paunovic and Furphy will see more playing time next season.
