The Arizona Cardinals are showing interest in Oregon wide receiver Malik Benson for the 2026 NFL draft. Benson, known for his speed, recorded a 4.37-second 40-yard dash and had a standout season with 43 receptions for 719 yards.
The Arizona Cardinals didn't add a high-end speedster this offseason to the wide receiver room. They have interest in one such player in the 2026 NFL draft.
In an interview with SI.com's Justin Melo, Oregon wide receiver Malik Benson met with every team at the Shrine Bowl and then had Zoom meetings with the Cardinals and other teams.
Benson has game-changing speed. He is 6 feet tall and 189 pounds with almost 32-inch arms. He ran the 40 in 4.37 seconds at the NFL combine last month.
After playing two seasons at a junior college, he bounced around from Alabama to Florida State to Oregon. He had his best season last year with the Ducks, catching 43 passes for 719 yards and touchdowns.
Benson is projected as a Day 3 pick in the draft, a Day 3, where drafting a speedy receiver would make sense. Keep an eye on him and where he lands. Perhaps he will end up in Arizona.
