2027 four-star wide receiver Jaden Upshaw is visiting Texas A&M this weekend ahead of his commitment announcement on April 15. He is predicted to choose the Aggies over Miami, Florida, and Alabama.
Texas A&M's final weekend before the annual Maroon & White Spring game will serve as another key recruiting opportunity for coach Mike Elko and his staff, which includes 2027 four-star wide receiver Jaden Upshaw, who received a prediction from On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong to choose the Aggies over Miami, Florida, and Alabama, who round out his final four program list.
Set to announce his commitment on Wednesday, April 15, Upshaw reportedly made his way to College Station on Friday night ahead of his weekend visit, taking in the campus while attending the Aggies' 11th practice, able to see how the program operates on the field, while watching one of A&M's freshman wide receivers who posseses a similar body type and play style to the Georgia-based prospect.
Former blue-chip four-star WR Madden Williams is expected to play at the Z or slot receiver spot during his Aggie career, and is one of the more physical wideouts after the catch, a trait that has defined Jaden Upshaw's high school career, and rise in the recruiting rankings.
Standing 6'1" and nearly 200 pounds, Upshaw reeled in a career-high 902 receiving yards paired with eight touchdowns, but did miss several games due to injury. Combined with five-star WR Erik McFarland, the Aggies are in striking distance of landing both blue-chip prospects and solidifying the future wideout rotation.
According to Rivals, Jaden Upshaw is currently positioned as the 61st-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 12th-ranked wide receiver, and the 5th-ranked prospect in Georgia.
