The Chicago Bears have a few clear needs as the 2026 NFL Draft approaches. While they added safety and linebacker help with Coby Bryant and Devin Bush, the Bears have three clear needs.
Defensively, the Bears desperately need more help at edge rusher, and another interior pass rusher would be a nice addition as well. But, on offense, the Bears need some offensive line help with a shaky left tackle room.
That's why Peter Schrager of ESPN is projecting the Bears to draft a massive offensive lineman out of Alabama with their 25th overall pick in his latest mock draft.
"Proctor is a mass of humanity," Schrager writes. "He weighed in at 358 pounds at his pro day - but he can move. If he keeps his eight down, Proctor has as much upside as any tackle in this class. And frankly, I think he is going earlier than No. 25."
Chicago needs more offensive line help, with Ozzy Trapilo uncertain for 2026 with his torn patellar tendon. Braxton Jones and Theo Benedet are the current left tackle options, which is far from ideal.

If the Bears could add Proctor, the massive Alabama offensive lineman who can play inside or outside, the Bears' line could be a lot better in 2026 than it was last year.
His upside is very high, and as he showed at Alabama, Proctor can actually be a fun gadget player for Ben Johnson to have some fun with on offense.
But, even if he's simply an offensive tackle, he is a huge player at 6-foot-7, 358 pounds. He should be a first-round pick, and if the Bears take him at No. 25 overall, they'd be landing a massive lineman to beef up the OL for Johnson and Caleb Williams.
