The Miami Dolphins have been completely dismantling the roster this offseason, with the most notable moves being the trades of Jaylen Waddle and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
They also cut ties with Tua Tagovailoa, Bradley Chubb, and Tyreek Hill. The one star that hasn't been moved is running back De'Von Achane. But that doesn't mean he's a lock to be on the roster come Week 1 or the end of the season.
And as Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team shared on Twitter/x, Achane didn't show up for the Dolphins' voluntary offseason workouts, which will only spark further trade speculation with the ongoing firesale in Miami.
"Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley said RB De'Von Achane did not report to the first day of voluntary offseason workouts today," Meirov shared. Hafley said of Achane not being at these workouts, "It's part of the business."
Achane is the last offensive weapon left on the roster, with the tight end and wide receiver rooms being especially barren.
But Achane is a player the Dolphins have been adamant about not trading away this offseason. However, this offseason workout skip from Achane will reignite trade speculation.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Achane was traded, especially with the lackluster draft pool at running back, and a few teams, like the Seattle Seahawks, are still looking for running back help. The Washington Commanders could be another great landing spot for Achane.
What doesn't help quell these trade rumors/speculation is that Achane is in the final year of his deal. If an extension can't be worked out, trading Achane makes a fair bit of sense.
And while this workout is a voluntary one, in the sense that Achane doesn't have to show up, as is the case with many players who are seeking new contracts or who are in trade rumors, this is still a noteworthy development.
With the 2026 NFL Draft only 16 days away, it looks like the Achane trade speculation isn't dying down anytime soon, barring Miami working out a long-term extension for the speedy running back.
