Colorado football's spring camp is now in the books following the conclusion of the Buffaloes annual Black and Gold spring game.
Deion Sanders' program put a ton of new aspects on display, from Brennan Marion's Go-Go offense and Chris Marve's defense to 40-plus new transfers. It was a whole bunch of new, but most of it was a good showing for a Buffaloes team that seems to be in a much better place than a year ago.
While it was a relatively short period of play, there were a few players who stood out from the rest. Here are four standouts from Colorado's 2026 spring football game.

Williams capped the spring scrimmage with a spectacular diving interception, undercutting an Isaac Wilson pass. Coach Prime has liked what he has seen from the freshman, saying in two years, "that kid right there is going to be him."
He let fans know postgame that he is loving being a Buff and is excited for the season.
"I just want the fans to know that I’m all in. I’m team Buffs," Williams said.

Hopper looked like Colorado's best interior lineman during Saturday's exhibition, bursting through the middle multiple times to make a tackle in the backfield. In 2025, the Buffs struggled to generate interior pressure, and this offseason they made it a priority to upgrade the defensive line.
Here is a look at one of the tackles for a loss Hopper made:

Carter looked like the player Colorado thought they were getting when they brought him in from Tennessee. Carter was all over the field, making sure tackles on screens and in the backfield. He clearly can be the Buffs' best defender if he plays to his potential.
Sep 27, 2025; Stanford, California, USA; San Jose State Spartans wide receiver Danny Scudero (10) scores a touchdown during the first quarter against the Stanford Cardinal at Stanford Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Stan Szeto-Imagn Images
Scudero caught the game's only touchdown on a beautiful corner route throw from Julian Lewis. He was targeted a few other times, but that was the big play of the day. Sanders has been using Scudero as an example for the whole team, as the San Jose State transfer is clearly emerging as a leader. Scudero has a starting spot locked up come the fall.
Honorable mentions: QB Julian Lewis, RB Richard Young, DE Toby Anene, RB Damian Henderson, S Randon Fontenette, CB Jah Jah Boyd and QB Isaac Wilson
