The Georgia Bulldogs could be earning a major 2027 recruit as early as April 9. That's when four-star quarterback Davin Davidson will be announcing his commitment, according to Hayes Fawcett. He'll be announcing it at Cardinal Mooney High School at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Davidson stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 215 pounds. He's finishing up his junior year at Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Florida, and during the football season, he threw for 2,360 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He is the No. 13 quarterback and No. 154 prospect from the class of 2027.
The 2027 four-star quarterback will choose among Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, and Florida. Rivals logged a prediction that Davidson will choose the Florida Gators, his home-state school, but we'll find out soon.
Davidson visited Georgia on March 18 and the Bulldogs impressed him. "It makes sense why they have so much success," he said to Chad Simmons of Rivals. The moment of truth will happen on April 9.
Georgia does not have a quarterback commitment in the class of 2027, but the Bulldogs do have a five-star quarterback commitment from Jayden Wade in the class of 2028. Wade could reclassify to the 2027 cycle, but he could also flip his commitment.
