IPL 2026 Points Table: LSG climb to 5th after win over KKR; Knight Riders slump near bottom

NEW DELHI: Lucknow Super Giants moved up to fifth spot in the IPL 2026 Points Table after their win over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday. LSG now have 4 points, with two wins in three matches with an NRR of -0.359.

KKR, meanwhile, continue to remain in ninth place with just one point from four games, and are still searching for their first win of the season.

Unbeaten Rajasthan Royals remain at the top of the IPL 2026 Points Table with 3 wins in 3 matches accumulating 6 points with a NRR of 2.403, followed by Punjab Kings in second place with 5 points (2 wins in 3 matches, 1 N/R with NRR of 0.637). Royal Challengers Bengaluru are in third place with 4 points (2 wins in 2 matches with NRR of 2.501). Delhi Capitals are placed at number four with 4 points. They have two wins in three games.

SRH are placed sixth with 2 points (1 win in 3 matches with NRR of 0.275), followed by Mumbai Indians at 8th spot with 2 points (1 win in 3 matches with NRR of -0.715) and KKR at 9th place with 1 point (0 wins, 1 N/R with NRR of -1.964). The last place, 10th, is occupied by CSK who are yet to open their account, enduring three defeats in as many games (NRR -2.517).

Lucknow Super Giants edged past Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets in a tight IPL 2026 clash at Eden Gardens, boosting their position in the points table.

Chasing 182, LSG rode on strong knocks from Ayush Badoni and Mukul Choudhary to seal the win, while KKR’s winless run continued.

Earlier, KKR posted 181/4 with contributions from Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Cameron Green and Rovman Powell. However, their bowling couldn’t hold the total as LSG chased it down in the final over.
