Michigan will have one of its best starters back for the 2026-27 season. Wolverines star point guard Elliot Cadeau has agreed to a deal to return for his senior year, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
The terms of the deal weren't undisclosed.
Cadeau was named Most Outstanding Player at the Final Four and guided Michigan to the first National championship since 1989. The North Carolina transfer averaged 10.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists last season.
With news of Cadeau "running it back" in Ann Arbor, this fills one of the key positions to build around through the transfer portal. Michigan already snagged Tennessee bigman J.P. Estrella on Thursday and is expected to add depth in the front court.
Cadeau could soon be joined by top portal player Juke Harris. The former Wake Forest guard has Michigan as a top school and would fit nicely for Dusty May and his staff.

Needless to say, Cadeau brings veteran leadership during a time when most teams are looking for one-year roster plans. This move also boosts Michigan's chances of running the table in the Big Ten.
