
Nebraska softball defeated Wisconsin 5-0 in the first game of their Big Ten series, marking their 10th shutout win of the season. Alexis Jensen pitched a complete game, allowing only two hits and striking out ten batters.
Nebraska softball (31-6, 12-1) started its three-game Big Ten series at Wisconsin (22-13, 7-6) on Friday. The Huskers took game one, blanking the Badgers 5-0 with their 10th shutout win of the season.
Alexis Jensen (16-2) delivered the goose egg, pitching a complete game and allowing just two hits. She also struck 10 batters, her fourth double-digit outing of the season. Nebraska finished the game with seven hits for five RBIs.
Kacie Hoffmann earned two RBIs for the Huskers, striking a single in the sixth to bring in two runs and going 1-for-3. Jordy Frahm batted 2-for-4 for one RBI in the win, bringing in a score off an RBI triple in the third. Jesse Farrell blasted a solo home run in the fourth to go 1-for-4. Hannah Camenzind brought in the team's final run in the seventh, finishing 1-for-3.
Nebraska continues the series with Wisconsin on Saturday. The first pitch is set for noon CT on B1G+.
