Kansas transfer center Flory Bidunga has committed to Louisville, eliminating him as a target for Michigan State. He averaged 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds last season and was highly sought after in the transfer portal.
A potential Spartans target in the transfer portal has committed elsewhere and is no longer on the board for Michigan State to pursue.
It was reported by multiple media members on Sunday that Kansas transfer center Flory Bidunga has committed to Louisville following a visit with the Cards this weekend. He committed to Louisville in tandem with Oregon star transfer guard Jackson Shelstad.
Bidunga averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game in a breakout sophomore season this past year. He was considered one of -- if not the -- top transfer portal center targets in this cycle, with multiple suitors pursuing him since the portal opened earlier this week.
There were never any creditable reports of the Spartans pursuing or in contact with Bidunga, but there was a lot of recent social media chatter and buzz connecting Michigan State to the Kansas star. It is clear now that either that buzz was nothing or Louisville simply put together a better offer than the Spartans.
