Premier League and Saudi Arabia possible destinations for Ousmane Dembélé in event of PSG exit
Currently, Ousmane Dembélé (28) is refusing to engage in contract extension talks with Paris Saint-Germain, and should he leave the reigning European champions, a move to the Premier League could be on the cards, according to a report from L’Équipe.
The Ballon d’Or winner is currently the highest-paid player in PSG’s squad, as revealed by L’Équipe’srecent salary special. However, his current deal with Les Parisiensruns until the summer of 2028 and extension talks are on hold.
Dembélé wishes to wait for several reasons. He wishes to know the salary cap, whilst it is also a question of timing, with the former Barcelona forward not wanting to discuss his future until after this summer’s FIFA World Cup. His future is also linked to PSG’s run in the UEFA Champions League.
In the event of talks between PSG and Dembélé breaking down, the Premier League and the Saudi Pro League are potential destinations for the latter, L’Équipeunderstands. As N’Golo Kanté’s move to Al-Ittihad showed, playing in the Gulf State is not an obstacle to featuring with the France national team.
