Report – Inter Milan Ready To Part Ways With Turkey Megstar If He Refuses To Sign New Contract
Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly open to selling star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu at the end of the season.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will only keep the Turk if he agrees to sign a new contract.
Calhanoglu’s future was one of the major talking points last summer.
Indeed, Turkish Super Lig heavyweights Galatasaray were desperate to lure the former AC Milan playmaker back to his homeland.
Despite holding talks with the player’s agent, Cristian Chivu convinced the 32-year-old to stay at San Siro.
Furthermore, Hakan Calhanoglu has been the cornerstone of Inter’s title push in Serie A this term, netting nine goals in 20 league appearances.
Calhanoglu’s current deal runs out in 2027. Therefore, Inter must either persuade him to sign a new contract or run the risk of losing him on a free transfer in just over 12 months.
However, that’s not the risk the Nerazzurri are willing to take.
As such, they’ll offer the Turkey captain an extension in the coming months.
Meanwhile, Calhanoglu’s future will hinge on his response.
On the other hand, Galatasaray haven’t lost interest in the deep-lying playmaker and will look to pounce should contract talks go south.

If Hakan Calhanoglu refuses to sign a new contract, Inter Milan is reportedly prepared to sell him at the end of the season.
Calhanoglu's contract situation is significant because it could determine his future with the club and impact Inter Milan's midfield strategy.
While specific clubs have not been mentioned, interest is likely from other top European teams looking to strengthen their midfield.
