Texas A&M receives second prediction to land 2027 4-star WR

Amid a busy weekend in College Station, Texas A&M football held another practice this weekend, which also served as another opportunity to host several priority prospects in the 2027 recruiting class, including four-star wide receiver Jaden Upshaw, who is set to announce his commitment on Wednesday, April 15, and will choose between Miami, Florida, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

After landing four wide receivers in the 2026 signing class, including blue-chip prospects Aaron Gregory and Madden Williams, who have all looked the part during spring practice, the Aggies have yet to land a WR commit in the 2027 cycle and are looking to make Jaden Upshaw the first receiver in the cycle.

After receiving a prediction to land with the Aggies from On3's Steve Wiltfong, fellow On3 and AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway has logged his own prediction for Texas A&M to come out victorious and secure the Georgia native's commitment on Wednesday afternoon. One of the more physical wide receivers in the 2027 cycle, Upshaw's elite versatility will allow him to play multiple receiver positions.

Standing 6'1" and nearly 200 pounds, Upshaw reeled in a career-high 902 receiving yards paired with eight touchdowns, but did miss several games due to injury. Combined with five-star WR Erik McFarland, the Aggies are in striking distance of landing both blue-chip prospects and solidifying the future wideout rotation.

According to Rivals, Jaden Upshaw is currently positioned as the 61st-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 12th-ranked wide receiver, and the 5th-ranked prospect in Georgia.
