Center James Brown is entering the portal after just two seasons at North Carolina. Brown was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class that also featured Ian Jackson and Drake Powell. The 6-foot-10 forward out of Aurora appeared in 18 games as a freshman with 21 total points and 15 total rebounds.
In 2025-26, he averaged 1.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in nine games. He suffered an injury that caused him to have season-ending surgery in February.
He joins Isaiah Denis, Derek Dixon, Jonathan Powell and Jaydon Young as players to enter the portal so far.
