The Los Angeles Lakers took the court at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder without Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves, LeBron James, Marcus Smart and Jaxson Hayes. That meant a lot of playing time for players towards the end of the team's rotation, including forward Jarred Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt got five minutes in the first half and turned in three points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal. He exited the game early in the second quarter, and television cameras caught him engaging in a heated interaction with the Lakers' coaching staff.
At the time of this writing, it is unknown what caused that heated interaction.
Vanderbilt didn't come back into the game by halftime. The Lakers trailed the Thunder 65-47 at the half after being competitive until around the midway point of the second period.
